See yourself in our Team The BB Data Office is a critical team within the Analytics, Data & Decision Science team, leading data strategy and design for BB, prioritising and coordinating data investments, and implementing data management practices across the BB business unit.
In this role you will Liaise with product owners, technical and risk stakeholders including Senior Managers and Executive Managers using various methods including facilitation of workshops to understand their business processes and use of data.Perform sophisticated data analysis and discovery including data profiling to define data quality rules.Develop Data Quality Rules using SQL across various data sources and filtration conditions.Present analytical Data Quality results and insights to the Senior Manager level to ensure data quality rules fit for purpose and truly identify data issues.Demonstrate the ability to solve business problems and independently manage work and relationships with stakeholders.We're interested in hearing from people who have End-to-end data analytics delivery ownership including eliciting requirements, data discovery, and developing analytical solutions to improve data quality (preferably within Agile methodologies).Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders up to Senior Managers and Executive Managers.Proactive and insightful, generating ideas rather than merely servicing requests, confident in driving problem solving, and capable of influencing business decisions.Expert hands-on SQL skills with experience in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS).Tableau hands-on knowledge (desirable).Meticulous attention to detail, influencing skills, and a proactive 'can-do' attitude, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.4-5 years of experience in analytics, focusing on solving business problems and generating actionable insights with knowledge of Banking: customers, products, systems, processes.Tertiary degree in Economics, Information Technology, or a quantitative degree, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done, with at least half your time each month connecting in our office.
