About the Division Early Learning Operations and Monitoring (ELOM) leads core funding, policy, operational and monitoring functions for funded Three- and Four-Year-Old, and Pre-Prep kindergarten programs in Victoria.
In collaboration with other divisions in the Early Childhood Education Group, and early childhood staff in Regions and Areas, ELOM plays a key role in providing input and expertise into the planning and implementation of Best Start, Best Life reform activities. ELOM also works in consultation with key sector peak bodies and stakeholders.
About the Role With the introduction of the Best Start Best Life reforms and the ongoing implementation of other Early Childhood Educations Reforms such as Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and School Readiness Funding, a fixed term opportunity exists for a Senior Data Analyst to join our high-performing, collaborative, and supportive team. The purpose of this role is to lead and support a range of work relating to kindergarten funding policy design, complex funding modelling; and data validation, analysis and reporting activities, so strong data skills are essential. Key responsibilities include:
Understanding quantitative implications of policy views and decisions.Conducting complex data analysis and translating data results into recommended actions.Leveraging data insights to inform strategic business decisions.Strengthening stakeholder relationships to support reform initiatives and ensure shared outcomes can be met.This role provides a real opportunity for an individual with expertise in data analysis and/or modelling skills to expand and develop while contributing to improving outcomes for Victorian children.
Attributes To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the Victorian Public Sector values, excel in a fast-paced changing environment, possess exceptional conceptual and analytical skills, and be able to juggle multiple tasks concurrently, even when faced with tight deadlines. You will also enjoy working collaboratively across a wide range of projects for the Early Learning Funding and Operations Branch and the broader ELOM division as required.
