We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. You'll be focussed on our reporting activities of our Australian branch, making sure that our reports comply with regulatory standards and are produced in a timely manner. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Australian Energy market and state-of-the-art data infrastructure, together with our team of Australian Energy market experts and data experts.

What you will be doing:
Work collaboratively with business units such as Compliance, Finance, Market Operations, Customer Operations and Trading to clarify, design and develop key regulatory and business reports;
Work collaboratively with business units to ensure developed reports and data are clear, functional, and effective in communicating messages and insights using suitable data visualisation techniques and methods;
Work closely with our Data Engineers and Data Analysts to translate these business requirements into automated reports;
Write Python scripts which will be able to create these reports;
Write data models in dbt using SQL;
Have strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Have good stakeholder management, communication skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
You will be a good candidate if you:
Have completed relevant education, a relevant (energy) technical/finance education is a strong advantage;
Have a proven track record of 3-5 years of experience working as an analyst;
Are very skillful in SQL and Excel. Affinity with Python is an added quality that is taken into consideration as a strong advantage;
Have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and work accurately;
Are able to work independently and don't mind being an all-rounder;
Extra points if you:
Have experience in with responding to notices to provide information to energy market regulators and commissions and have a passion for renewable energy;
Have experience with reporting requirements of regulators or government bodies;
Are familiar with Git, Dagster, Snowflake or Salesforce
