Steering the strategic direction of the Data Analytics, Intelligence, Investigative Support and Recoveries (DAIIS) team, the duties will include, but not be limited to:
Lead a team to deliver intelligence and analytic services in alignment with the strategic objectives of Integrity Division; Provide clear performance and behavioural standards, mentoring and develop technical expertise; Provide a strategic level of specialist and professional expertise within the data analytics and intelligence function, including analysing complex problems using professional judgement, evaluating ambiguous and incomplete information whilst factoring in risks and being sensitive to the context and information sourced; Prepare and review complex fraud detection and intelligence data driven reports, Executive briefs, submissions and advanced visualisations to inform Defence decision making; Respond and provide specialist advice relating to digital forensics and eDiscovery processes to support complex investigations and fraud detection activities; Manage and lead the fraud recoveries function by providing clear direction and advice to ensure compliance with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks; Build and sustain strong relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, promoting Defence's objectives to deliver outcomes; Other ad hoc investigative and analytic activity as required.
About our Team
The Data Analytics, Intelligence, Investigative Support and Recoveries (DAIIS) Directorate is responsible for analysing integrity related information to identify fraud and misconduct which may warrant further investigation.
In addition, DAIIS is responsible for undertaking intelligence analysis, fraud debt recovery and providing specialist advice relating to digital forensics and eDiscovery processes to support complex investigations and fraud detection activities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Evidence of strong leadership skills and the ability to develop high performing teams; Strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills; Experience in developing and maintaining diverse stakeholder relationships; Ability to form clear, logical arguments both verbally and in writing to support a position, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential; Ability to both lead and participate in the development and planning for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives; and Ability to be flexible and adapt to the changing priorities.
