About the Role
Step into a key role at SA Water, where your expertise and strategic vision will drive the success of critical projects in the dams engineering discipline.
As the Senior Dams Engineer you will provide valuable support for investigations, design, and governance related to water infrastructure, specifically focusing on dams.
Your contributions will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required safety and regulatory standards.
You will work closely with our Principal Engineer, Senior Engineers and Technical Specialists, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects and playing a key role in shaping the future of SA Water's infrastructure.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will:
Assist in the design and technical governance of SA Water's Dams projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Support the execution of the Dams safety review and upgrade program, ensuring compliance with ANCOLD guidelines and helping to identify and mitigate risks.
Contribute to the development and review of technical documentation, including design reports, calculations, and safety assessments for dams and associated infrastructure.
Work closely with our Principal Engineer Dams to provide advice and technical leadership across complex projects, offering high-level strategic input into the design and execution of dam-related infrastructure.
Assist in the application and integration of new technologies, recommending solutions where relevant to improve project outcomes.
Participate in Safety in Design (SiD) processes, supporting the coordination of consultation and ensuring safe design principles are integrated into all stages of the project.
Ensure clear and effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely technical information.
