About the role
The Senior Cyber Technology Lead is the senior technical resource within the Cyber Operations Branch. This role provides technical leadership to the SOAR Integration Team and the Cyber Services Team. As the SOAR platform is a key technological pillar for the Cyber Operations branch, this role is also required to ensure the platform's operational resilience as well as maintaining the developmental cycle in accordance with the software development roadmap.
The Cyber Operations Branch will be at the forefront of centralised shared services to mitigate Whole of Victorian Government cyber risk. Cross team integration and collaboration will be critical to ensure the branch can maximise the capabilities provided by the SOAR Integration Team to inform and mitigate Whole of Victorian Government cyber risk. This role requires exceptional technical ability in multiple areas of IT and cyber security.
Key Accountabilities Provide technical leadership and guidance for cyber security and technology matters across the Cyber Operations Branch and within the Cyber Security, Data and Digital Resilience Division.Lead the development, support and maintenance of the SOAR platform, including integrations and vendor management. Provide strategic and technical direction to the SOAR Integration Manager to achieve the objectives of the Cyber Operations branch.Lead the implementation, prioritisation and development of the roadmap for the Cyber Services Team. Provide strategic and technical leadership to the Cyber Services Manager to enable the scaling of centralised cyber security services.Provide technical advice and expertise in support of the Cyber Risk Team. Support the development of a Third Party Risk Management Framework and reporting portal.Work with multiple stakeholders and technical team members across the division in providing complex technical advice in a consumable format or method.Develop and maintain effective networks and relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including collaborating with DGS, other Victorian Government departments and non-government organisations.Other related duties as required.To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate: Demonstrated exceptional cyber security skills on best practices, system and network architecture, integration, secure coding and cloud security.Demonstrated significant experience in leading the development and maintenance of a SOAR platform, specifically Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR.Demonstrated experience providing centralised cyber security services at scale. This includes, but is not limited to, vulnerability scanning, attack surface management and secure email gateways.Demonstrated strong cyber security operational support skills.Demonstrated experience and skills in technological requirements elicitation and defining these into development processes.Proven capability in creating influential documents of technical and non-technical information for non-technical audiences, showcasing your high written and communication skills with strong attention to detail.Mandatory requirements Obtain and maintain a NEGATIVE VETTING 1 security clearance.For specific responsibilities please review the attached position description.
