Reporting to the Architecture and Governance Manager, the role ensures access to all Information Technology (IT) managed systems across the environment is authorised, registered and controlled to prevent accidental or malicious damage to data and equipment. The position is also responsible for designing and implementing security solutions, ensuring security standards, policies and all current practical security measures are implemented, tested and are kept current and fully documented.
ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and strategic security advice to support the branch, division and business technological options relevant to security activities.Assist in the development of Risk Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans that support the IT Branch and the business.Analyse performance and availability of the business' IT Security Systems and Services, identifies problem areas, designs, proposes and implements solutions to enhance these IT Security Systems and Services.Research Information Security trends and tools, particularly networks that support Windows and Server operating systems, assesses and recommends appropriate mitigation for infiltration security vulnerabilities and security incidents for all business IT architecture.Design secure network, application, and system architectures to safeguard against cyber threats.Continuously improve the security architecture based on evolving threats and technology advancements.Skills & ExperiencePossession of an Information Security related qualification or extensive recent experience in an IT Security role.Demonstrated experience in developing strategic security plans, taking into consideration the enterprise architecture, current and future state.Experience in developing security standards and controls across a variety of technology stacks including networks, operating systems, databases and websites.Understanding of how to balance cyber security and operational effectiveness using risk management techniques.Well-developed communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) including the ability to develop team skills and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to analyse information and data and provide reports relating to the findings.About UsFremantle Ports is a government trading enterprise with proven commercial success and a highly regarded reputation with its partners, the community, and other stakeholders.
