The role
The Senior Customer and Tenure Operations Officer Native Title role provides high-level technical expertise and support to the Supervisor Tenures and Native Title to achieve government priorities in Native Title and Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs). This role involves undertaking a wide range of administrative activities to meet targets related to tenures, providing operational support, and ensuring quality outcomes through monitoring and reporting. The role also includes maintaining the integrity of land information data and offering advice and recommendations to resolve Native Title tenure issues.
You will be responsible for providing timely advice and recommendations on Crown land tenures from extensive research, balancing conflicting priorities and projects, and making appropriate determinations by interpreting and applying land information legislation and data. The role also involves a broad range of office management tasks to support Native Title tenures and overall business outcomes.
What you will bring to the role
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members. Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. High level administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and competing demands. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Demonstrated technical proficiency and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology tools and systems. Key knowledge and experience
Knowledge of and ability to interpret tenure legislation for the administration of tenure applications as they relate to Native Title. Understanding of the Native Title Act 1993 and the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983. About us
