We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Producer (client content projects) to join the team!
InnovationAus.com is an independent publication that reports on government policy as it affects technology-based innovation across the nation's growth industries.
From mining and agriculture to financial services, MedTech, cybersecurity and advanced manufacturing, our reporting focuses on the opportunities that align with Australia's strategic priorities and connects government, institutional researchers, investors, entrepreneurs and the mainstream business community.
Our goal is to galvanise new thinking and encourage new action in building on Australia's economy in transition – and we do this through our publication, targeted industry forums, high-level roundtables and bespoke content and events.
The role The Senior Producer – client content will own the execution and delivery of content projects commissioned by our clients, including podcasts, whitepaper reports, trade show artwork, advertising, marketing videos, thought leadership articles, social media and much more.
You will often be the key point of contact between the client and broader team/suppliers, to consult on best practice and translate their ideas and messaging into high-impact content.
You must be an exceptional senior project manager who knows how to manage upwards and take responsibility for the delivery of production projects from start to finish.
In this role you will directly lead one team member, ensuring their effective contribution to projects.
Additionally, you will have the confidence and experience to lead external stakeholders, from CEOs, region VPs and CMOs, to local subject matter experts and sales teams, to internal producers, copywriters and graphic designers.
After projects are scoped and approved, you will take full ownership, managing the execution from start to finish.
You will be responsible for delivering a variety of content pieces – and occasionally events for our multinational enterprise tech clients, often in very tight timeframes!
Your role will encompass all areas including overarching strategy (and engaging the right people for the right thinking / subject matter expertise), project planning, talent acquisition and management, scheduling, briefing, supplier liaison, engagement of specialists like copywriters, graphic designers, and the digital team.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee and coordinate the production of a variety of multimedia assets including videos, podcasts and webinars.Direct the support team on graphic design, AV production, copywriting, operations and social media.Directly lead one team member, ensuring their effective contribution to projects.Suggest topics, speakers, themes of interest to our readers and guests to build products around (webinars, whitepapers, roundtables, forums, podcast eps).Produce clear, concise AV, content and multimedia briefs.Take briefs from clients and foster long-lasting relationships with them.Ensure all clients are updated on the delivery of campaigns.Create concepts and designs for new digital projects.Coordinate workflow and documentation and ensure design standards are being upheld.Oversee the process of developing and delivering content and making sure things are running smoothly and contingencies are in place.Identify any issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Ensure all content is on brand and meets client's requirements.Our Ideal Candidate
You will be a creative and lateral thinker who can overcome obstacles with a genuine passion for getting it right, every time.
You will also have a sound understanding of the client service environment and how to operate within it.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.A degree in Communications, International Relations, Marketing, Political Science, Social Inquiry or other relevant degree.Curiosity and an interest in technology, government policy and current affairs.Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential for this role.Attention to detail and great organisational skills.Readiness to join a fast paced, high-performance team.Proactivity, self-motivation and a drive to learn and grow.Demonstrated experience leading a small team and collaborating with external stakeholders.Commercial nous – while this is not a business development role, it does require someone with the skills to manage time and supplier resources.If you have the skills, experience and are ready for a new challenge with a dynamic, collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.
