Being skilled in working with families experiencing domestic and family violence with the willingness to work with people who have experienced domestic, family and sexual violence with a focus on long term recovery. You are a subject matter expert and will provide quality client-centered counselling and supervision with some leadership in your team and stream that meets the needs of our employees, clients and families and is consistent with Baptist Care's Purpose and Values. About You: You will be an experienced Senior Counsellor who has a genuine passion for working within the community. The successful applicant will bring: Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) with a minimum 3 years experience Clinical Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA or ACA) Experience in trauma informed practice Demonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work including child focused counselling/play therapy Demonstrated experience in leadership Experience in the Domestic and Family Violence sector Demonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work within an agency setting Demonstrated experience relating to diverse stakeholders, e.g. Government departments & other non-government organisations Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of Baptist Care's Christian identity and promote the organisation's values through interactions at work Demonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+ and people with disabilities Excellent written & oral communication skills Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Willing to undergo a Police Check Current Drivers' License Desirables: Demonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with those experiencing Domestic Violence Post graduate qualifications in a speciality area e.g. Play Therapy, child counselling About Us: Baptist Care is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
