City of Port Phillip has zero tolerance for child abuse and is a committed Child Safe organisation.What's the role all aboutThis core governance role will see you lead the delivery of Council meetings, Councillor briefings and Planning Committee meetings. You will provide advice and support to the wider organisation in the delivery of council business requirements and compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. You will provide leadership and support to the Council Business Advisor.This role would suit a pro-active and solutions focused thinker with the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Practical experience in leading the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures that contribute to broader governance and legislative compliance is essential.An understanding of Council policies, with a particular focus on the Governance Rules, along with experience in writing Council reports and submissions, is highly desirable.
