Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Planner - New Build department. 
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost plans and estimates for new build projects Analyse project requirements, including scope, design, materials, and labour costs Conduct thorough cost assessments and risk analysis to provide reliable budget forecasts Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost planning activities for senior management review Engage with external stakeholders such as subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to gather cost-related information Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost planning Participate in project meetings to offer expert insights on cost-related matters and contribute to decision-making processes. You will have: A proven track record in cost planning within the construction sector, preferably with experience in new build projects Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or another relevant field Demonstrated proficiency in using industry-specific software for cost estimation and budgeting Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide accurate financial forecasts Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority. Desired Skills and Experience You will have the following: Skills/Experience: An ability to manage workload with changing priorities and meet established timeframes. Demonstrated strong network of relevant subcontractors and suppliers. An ability to identify and evaluate risk and opportunities through the pricing assessment process Ability to use relevant software such as Buildsoft or CostX Education/Experience: Demonstrated experience in working in an estimating or cost planning role with proven success. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline. If you have the demonstrated skills and experience we would love to hear from you.
