Responsibilities:
Lead cost management activities for assigned projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop and maintain cost plans, forecasts, and budgets with a high degree of accuracy.
Manage the procurement process, including soliciting quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing subcontracts.
Analyze risks and opportunities relating to costs and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and contractors.
Prepare and manage project documentation related to costs, contracts, and procurement.
Monitor and control project expenses, identifying and addressing cost overruns.
Contribute to continuous improvement of cost management processes within the company.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction cost management with a proven track record of success.
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of construction procurement processes and contract administration.
Expertise in cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Primavera).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
