Reporting to the Head of Cost, Estimating & Reporting, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of cost control activities across major government-led infrastructure projects.
Specifically, your focus will be on the preparation, monitoring, and management of the National Intermodal Project cost plan.
This role will ensure the project costs are accurately controlled, forecasted, and that budgets are adhered to in alignment with the Annual Corporate Plan set by shareholders.What you'll be doing:Leading cost management across all project phases, from initiation through to revenue service, ensuring alignment with the National Intermodal WBS and CBS.Developing and managing the project cost control plan, applying consistent cost control methodologies.Tracking, monitoring, and analysing project trends, identifying potential scope changes and managing budget adjustments.Overseeing owner and contractor cashflows, ensuring alignment with approved schedules and corporate budgets.Collecting, analysing, and reporting on cost-related data, providing actionable insights for stakeholders.Preparing and delivering regular financial reports and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Collaborating with Project Delivery and Corp PMO teams to improve cost management systems and processes.Your background should include:Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Engineering; certification in PRINCE2 or PMI is advantageous.Proven experience in Cost Management roles on large-scale government-led infrastructure projects (client-side).Demonstrated experience in Project Cost Controls and PMO functions.Advanced Excel skills, with preferred experience in Hexagon Ecosys, Oracle Unifier, and familiarity with Power BI.Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.Excellent time management skills, with the flexibility to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.At National Intermodal, we are committed to our people and their development.
