Senior Cost ManagerMelbourneKey 'Data Centre' Client in TruganinaAPAC FM have been engaged to source a Senior Cost Manager for a global construction consultancy in a full-time role.This role will provide leadership and costing expertise and ultimately be responsible for all deliverables and project success across the group.What's in it for you:Work for a global progressive company who are proven and backed by over 50 years success - they are the trusted partners for their preferred clients.Endless opportunity and proven to invest and promote from within across their 30+ offices and over 1,000 employees.This role would be a secondment to a key Data Centre client where you would be on their site 3 times a week in Truganina - (Great exposure as it's a household name).Thriving industry driven by growth, AI, Sustainability etc.Strong leadership team, well respected and truly care about their people and culture.In this role you will:Support the delivery of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.Resolve any commercial, change orders and contract issues quickly and fairly.Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken.Lead diverse costing, procurement, & fee proposals.Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.Actively participate in the tender/bid process--from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting.Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team.Experience we are looking for:Strong Senior Cost Management/Quantity Surveying experience (5 years+).Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects.Degree or comparable experience in a cost management or construction discipline.MRICS or MAIQS would be advantageous.Data Centre or large scale construction exposure.MUST have Australian citizenship due to the nature of work/Client(s).Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Cost Manager?How many years of project management experience do you have?Do you have experience preparing and submitting tenders?
