Our team is dynamic, innovative and client-focused, supported by an inclusive and fun company culture.Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cost Manager / Associate Director - Mechanical & Electrical, to join our team in our Canberra office. Supporting our clients to deliver projects and programs for Defence projects.The position will be to lead on the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) specific deliverables within a larger project or leading direct M&E commissions, such as asset upgrade works.The individual must be self-motivated and Client facing (both internal & external) with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients. This will involve establishing early budgets, early estimating, and cost planning, tendering and procurement and post contract duties.The role will also include management of other Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the M&E.A good knowledge of M&E systems and supply chain is fundamental with the ability to work collaboratively.QualificationsA proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycleProfessionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towardsAbility to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.Experience in delivering M&E elements of work for clientsKnowledge & contacts within the M&E supply chain (tier 1 and below)Utilising digital software for delivery of cost management servicesCommercially astute with good negotiation skillsExcellent people person and great communicator, both client facing and team basedIdeally an Australian citizen with NV2 clearanceAdditional InformationTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
