Role description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Cost and Commercial Management Team in leading the delivery of multiple commissions and supporting our local teams. Reporting directly to the local Director, we are looking for someone with drive and ambition who is experienced in providing quantity surveying and cost management services within the buildings and property sector.
Role accountabilities: Specific experience in the delivery of projects in the residential and education sectors is desired, but not essential. You will be responsible for contributing on medium to large scale projects, with the opportunity to lead project teams. Your role will include but will not be limited to:
Supporting the development of the Arcadis Cost and Commercial Management offering in a client-facing role, through the delivery of services to a high quality.
Delivering sound and effective commercial management and quantity surveying services, leading by example to achieve company goals and championing a people-first culture.
Supporting the development of proposals, client briefs, and project execution plans whilst collaborating with project and business stakeholders.
Delivering commissions within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.

You have a passion for sharing your knowledge and experience within a team striving for high performance outcomes. You will come to us with:
A relevant degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying related areas – Tertiary Education is preferred but not essential.
Demonstrated consultancy experience in the buildings/property sector.
Experience in the schools and broader education sectors and/or the residential sector – this is preferred but not essential.
A minimum of six years post-qualified experience in a similar role.
Completed your professional accreditation and be a member of the RICS and/or AIQS – if you have not completed your professional accreditation then you must demonstrate a commitment to achieve this.
Experience in leading the delivery of cost management services on a variety of projects.
A sound commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures, including international conditions and have an ability to assess risk.
An innovation mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo.
