As we continue through an exciting period of growth, and due to the Company's involvement in a number of new projects and studies,Lycopodiumis currently recruiting for an experiencedSenior Cost Controllerto join our Perth based team.
Reporting to thePrincipal Project Controls,theSenior Cost Controllerwill be a key support to our study team on a mega international project with a tier one client. This position will be responsible for the accurate, effective, and timely control of Project costs and accounting functions to produce deliverables inline with both Client and Project standards.
The tasks you'll perform
Ensure all the budgets; forecasts and cost commitments are produced efficiently to a high standard in line withrequirements.Support team members with re-forecasting and estimating activities to complete project cost forecasts (trending).Assist with the entry and administration of data into the project controls software system.Update and administer the project cash flow forecast.Monitor Project performance including costs, progress against schedule and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment of critical project performances.Assist Project Managers in decision making by constantly monitoring budget and expenditure changes, as well as providing regular updates of project status.Evaluate project progress to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline objectives.Assist with the timely and accurate allocation of budgets to study/project documentation.The expertise you'll bring
5+ years' experience in a cost control or related role, ideally with major capital resources sector projects.Qualifications in a commerce or engineering discipline is preferred, but not essential.Advanced competencies with industry standard software including Microsoft Excel and cost control programmes (CMS&SAPproficiency will be highly regarded).Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a high attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.A self-starter who can readily adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.The benefits we'll provide
