RoleSummary: The SeniorCorporate Finance Analyst is a newly created opportunity in ourCorporate Financial Control team based at our Perth CBDOffices.
The purposeof this role is to manage the liquidity needs of Synergy andsupport the overall insurance strategy, facilitating optimalplacement of its insurance risk program. This role will also assistwith Synergy's compliance with governance requirementsrelevant to wholesale energy trading where required. This positionwill ensure Synergy has the capabilities, capacity and flexibilityneeded to achieve its Strategy in the face of increasingly volatileand changing markets. 
Keyresponsibilities of the role include:
EnsureSynergy's liquidity while managing consequent financialrisks per the prescribed governance framework – includinginterest rate, foreign exchange, and treasury operationalrisks. Ensureoptimal insurance coverage for Synergy across the appropriaterisk categories while accounting for the increased market focuson Environmental, Social and Governance requirements andrenewable project pipeline. Responsible for thetimely delivery of high-quality treasury and insurancereporting to the relevant committees and board to supportoptimal decision making. SupportSynergy's compliance with internal wholesale tradinggovernance requirements and external obligations, including theRenewable Energy Target liability and surrender process and anycarbon reporting obligations as required. Whatyou'll bring: Bachelor's degreequalifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or anequivalent discipline. Post graduate qualifications such asChartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practising Accountant(CPA) will be highly regarded. Excelfinancial modelling skills, familiarity with SAP and experiencewith board level paper composition will be highlyregarded. Pastindustry experience within the utilities and electricity marketsector will be highly regarded. Experience in corporatetreasury, insurance broker / underwriter environment or bigfour accounting firm while advantageous, is notessential.
