Lead a team of 6 | Review use of digital platforms

A local government authority is seeking a digital communications professional to lead their high performing team. The role will focus on bringing the organisation along on the website update journey. The position will support projects and initiatives to ensure the strategic goals become a reality.
Responsibilities

Lead the execution and evaluation of a wide range of digital communications projects and activities to raise awareness and inform the community about Council services, initiatives, and events.
Foster new ideas and creative ways of working to ensure Council's digital and social communications are relevant, targeted, and have meaningful impact.
Strategically drive and evolve Council's websites to ensure their functionality delivers an integrated and seamless customer experience.
Provide high level communications advice to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership Team on key issues, policy matters, and implementation priorities to support Council objectives.
Coordinate the day-to-day management and ongoing development of Council's websites, ensuring content is accurate, well-written, and designed for maximum reach and impact.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of digital campaigns, delivering data insights and actionable recommendations.
Coordinate an SEO strategy to improve search engine rankings and develop performance metrics to support website engagement and performance.
Coach and influence staff to ensure behaviours align with Council's values.

Key requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Communications/Digital or relevant experience
Proven experience leading a team and fostering a great culture
Previous experience developing and implementing strategy
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
Experience presenting information to senior leaders
Demonstrated ability to develop new techniques/ways of working
