Job DescriptionOur Role:
As a result of our continued growth and expansion, we have a new opportunity for a Senior Controls Systems Engineer who will lead the design and engineer project specific solutions within the Engineering and Design division, to meet our requirements of Pacific Energy Renewables (PER) and the end user.
You will be involved in many aspects including but not limited to - the design, implementation and testing of high-quality solutions using engineering applications for Historians, SCADA, OT Networks, PLCs, RTUs, BESS and PV inverters.
This role will be based in our Darwin or Perth offices.
Key Responsibilities: Research, development, and design of control systemsLead a team of engineers by providing guidance and assigning resources and tasks to specific projects, scheduling work activitiesPerform engineering design and related duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including control system software development (PLC, SCADA, inverters, and generators), equipment specifications and selection, schematic and wiring design and testing of software by working with other team membersProvide senior engineering review of documentation and specificationsDevelop and review technical documentation including Functional Descriptions and system architectures (OT) in industrial automationRedline and revise drawings including review of technical specifications and relevant standards to ensure the engineering design is compliantDevelop Inspection Test Plans/Records (ITPs), ITRs and Commissioning PlansLiaise with engineers, electricians, supervisors, consultants, and external developersLiaise with external clients as well as internal stakeholders including divisional engineers, supervisors and electriciansCommission (FAT) at Pacific Energy Renewables or client's premisesTravel to site to commission (SAT) control systemsMentor graduate and junior control systems engineersAbout you: At least 7 years of experience in control system engineering field including designDegree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic EngineeringExperience with a variety of PLC, DCS, RTU and telemetry products from various manufacturersExperience with industrial communication protocolsExperience working in Power Generation Industry, High Voltage SubstationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated leadership skills and strong initiativeChartered Professional Engineer preferredADDITIONAL BENEFITS INCLUDE: Additional four days per annum of Personal Business LeaveOpportunity to apply for additional leave (Purchase Leave)Employee Discretionary Bonus ProgramSalary continuance insuranceRewards Gateway for our employeesEmployee Referral RewardWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER At Pacific Energy, we celebrate the richness and depth that diversity brings.
