About this part of our organisation
Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities.
Additionally, the Zinc Group have operations across Asia, both North and South American continents and Europe.
About your potential new position
Your primary purpose will be to ensure our business units have what they need, when they need it and at the right price (products and services).
You will do this by liaising with your internal customers to understand all dimensions of their requirements and then utilising our third party partners to deliver those outcomes.
Typical tasks would include: Participate in strategy development for relevant sourcing activitiesAssist in developing and or coordinating scope of work writing for contractsAssist in developing evaluation scorecards and where required participate in technical evaluations of tendersManaging contract register ensuring projects are executed in time to replace expiring contractsEstablish and manage appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders by being the key point for end user queriesEnsure escalations, invoice price adherence and budget compliance is properly reviewedAssist and guide regarding pricing escalations and adjustments To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualification in preferably commercial, legal or engineering related disciplineSeveral years' experience in a similar role in contract management, supply chain or commercial teamHaving worked in an underground metals environment will be advantageousExperience in drafting and/or managing contracts, major equipment contracts, Site services and support contractsExtensive experience using computerised ERP systems; the use of SAP will be highly regardedBe able to work with and coordinate remote team members across different time zones What's in it for you?
