Senior Contracts Administrator / Quantity SurveyorPacific Industrial Company has a proud 55 year history as a leading provider of steel fabrication, construction and modularisation services to clients throughout Western Australia and Australia predominantly in the construction, mining and oil and gas sectors.
PIC is currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to join our team in our Naval Base Head Office.
The role is accountable for the delivery of the commercial, financial and contractual management aspects of projects. In the delivery of the role you will work closely with Project Managers in relation to the management of project head contract agreements and all relevant supplier/ subcontract agreements.
The key responsibilities of the role include: Procurement of packages.Preparation and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts.Process claims for variations and additional entitlement to time & money.Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims for time & money.Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission & agreement of variations.Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.Prepare, review & submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).Review change management.Evaluate design changes from both design and shop fabrication drawings and models and compile quantity take offs and value costs associated with the design changes.The key requirements for this role include: Demonstrated commercial contracts management and administration experience in similar role.Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Contracts / Commerce / Legal etc).Sound understanding of the principles and practice of Contracts Management.Experience in estimating and valuing structural and platework fabrication and erection works from design and shop fabrication drawings/models.Experience with procurement of subcontract packages.Excellent attention to detail.Pacific Industrial Company strive to employ applicants who reflect diversity of gender, experience and culture.
