Senior Contract And Commercial Officer - FranchiseJob posted: 22/10/2024Organisation: Department of Transport and PlanningReference: 5695About the RoleFull time - fixed term OngoingThe Senior Contract And Commercial Officer-Franchise will be a subject matter expert on all relevant contractual documents and will provide authoritative advice on the MR4 Franchise Agreement and Franchisee contractual compliance, identify contractual risks and issues and provide quality written advice in relation to the Franchise Agreement broadly.Position OutcomesEffective Contract Management – Ensure effective management of the MR4 Franchise Agreement.Timely Advice – Provides relevant reporting and contractual and commercial advice in a timely manner.Risk Management – Commercial risks have been identified and managed effectively.Stakeholder Management – Develops and maintains collaborative stakeholder relationships.Quality Written Correspondence – Prepares Ministerial, Secretarial and Organisational Briefs and provides timely and high quality responses to Ministerial Correspondence and Government Relations queries.Improved Passenger Outcomes – Contributes to passenger outcomes being enhanced beyond baseline contractual requirements.KEY SELECTION CRITERIA – As a Senior Contract and Commercial Officer-Franchise, you will have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of evaluating issues within a broader business context and delivering effective solutions to bespoke problems in a challenging operational landscape. The ideal applicant will demonstrate business and commercial acumen, driving improved and efficient outcomes for the State. A commitment to continuous improvement is essential, as is the ability to foster a collaborative environment that encourages feedback and new ideas. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are required to understand stakeholder motivations and provide tailored communications that foster collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. A customer-focused approach is vital, ensuring that services are tailored to meet customer requirements while effectively managing risks to service delivery.
