ABOUT THE ROLE You will work closely with a Senior Project Manager on innovative, technically challenging, fast track Design and Construct projects. Senior Contract Administrators at FDC manage subcontract, head contract, administration, and procurement on projects in addition to giving input into program, design, buildability, and quality issues. The portfolio of projects is diverse providing an opportunity to develop knowledge across an array of project types up to the value of $400M+ while being exposed to various construction techniques.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Tertiary Qualified in Building or Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.Strong working knowledge of major building trades obtained while working for reputable Building Contractors.Highly experienced in all aspects of procurement while working on Design and Construct projects.A history of preparing cost forecasts, preparing cash flow analysis, and monitoring financial outcomes on significant Design & Construct building projects.Experience of assessing subcontractor variations and preparing head contract variations.An awareness of commercial and legal issues pertaining to head contracts.Excellent communication and negotiation skills while working in partnership with both clients and subcontractors.A working knowledge of construction specific Acts, Codes and Regulations, including the Building Code of Australia, Security of Payments Act and the Work Health & Safety Act.CULTURE & BENEFITS FDC are passionate about what they do and are keen to attract like-minded individuals who are committed, driven, organised and team-focused.
