Duties & Responsibilities

Perform various Quantity Surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

Liaising with clients, suppliers and main contractorsIdentifying and facilitating new business opportunitiesMaster-plan and feasibility budgetsCost checking of developing designValue engineeringTender evaluations and analysisContract negotiationsCash flow projectsProcurementCost reportingEvaluation of variationsValuationsFinal account reportingClaims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claimsInvestment analysisFormulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or ConstructionExtensive experience in cost estimating and planning software / Cost XDemonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects
