About The Role: Are you ready to take your career to new heights?
Compare the Market is looking for a talented Senior Email Editor to join our team.
In this role, you'll shape and define our tone of voice and customer communication style, ensuring they align with our brand and purpose while being effective at scale.
As the Senior Email Editor, you will lead the development of our communication style, mentor a team of early-career writers, guide the editorial direction of our direct communications channel, and ensure the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of customer communications across multiple platforms.
Your knack for finding strong hooks and your engaging writing and editing skills will be essential in this role.
About The Team: Within the newly formed Customer Experience Marketing function, we market in 3D.
This function spans customer communication specialists, customer insight, customer experience, design, and product & project management.
Your team, Direct Marketing, is focused on world-class customer communications at velocity and scale and will set a new benchmark for how we relate to our customers.
What You'll Do: Build on existing tone of voice guidelines to develop a scalable and practical approach.
Translate our vision, purpose, and value proposition into effective messaging matrices.
Ensure early-career writers can use these guides and matrices to create compelling communications.
Guide the editorial direction of the customer communications team, identifying areas of interest and steering them towards engaging content.
Provide constructive feedback on representative samples of writers' work, fostering improvement over time.
Create a high-performance, high-output, and engaging work environment for early-stage writers.
Proofread critical content for accuracy, including spelling and punctuation.
Collaborate with the Head of Customer Communications and Senior Marketing Leaders to align content with strategic goals.
Coordinate with marketing, legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure content meets all regulatory requirements.
Act as a key point of contact for content-related queries and issues.
What You'll Bring: Tertiary Qualifications in Journalism, Communications, or similar field Proven experience as an editor or in a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
Experience in financial services or sales is highly preferred.
Ability to mentor and develop early-career writers.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong understanding of workflow, content management systems (CMS), and digital publishing.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
