The role
SCB operates using a client account management model. Departmental divisions are grouped into six accounts, and via account managers, they access a range of communication services through functional teams. The Content Designer Online Services works within the editorial and publishing streams in the Online Services team within SCB.
Your key responsibilities:
Act as a senior member of a team of online communication professionals, leading initiatives to develop and deliver innovative communications strategies that enhance health outcomes for Queensland health system consumers.
Forge and maintain relationships with senior management across Queensland Health, including HHSs, other Queensland Government agencies, and key stakeholders across the health sector, acting as a representative of the agency.
Coordinate within a team of editorial and publishing professionals to lead the development and design of online content.
Contribute significantly to the strategy for improving content delivery across the Queensland Health website network, considering agency operations and government initiatives.
Provide high-level advice and assist business areas in developing content appropriate for publishing online, including the creation of metadata, content repurposing, and meeting accessibility requirements.
You will have demonstrated:
Extensive experience creating and writing content based on user needs that meets readability and WCAG requirements, with the ability to apply the Australian Government Style Guide.
High level communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to elicit content requirements from stakeholders of all levels.
Significant experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating content strategy in a dynamic online environment.
Ability to represent an agency, negotiate or communicate on behalf of the agency with stakeholders, and provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Strong analytical, copywriting, and problem-solving skills in an online content development and/or project management context.
Ability to collaborate and contribute to the positive culture of a team with a track record of maintaining a customer service mentality and supporting all colleagues to succeed.
