An exciting and full-time opportunity has arisen for a Senior Consumer Product Manager to join our Bupa Health Insurance team.
Reporting to the Consumer Customer Value Proposition Manager, the Senior Consumer Product Manager is an integral lead position within the Bupa health insurance (HI) portfolio. You will be pivotal in driving the development, implementation, management and performance of the health insurance products and integrated propositions offered to Bupa Australia's Health Insurance customers. As a senior in the Consumer portfolio team, this role is also responsible for supporting the Consumer CVP manager to guide and mentor other team members.
What will your day look like? Work with the Consumer CVP Manager to design and develop a robust customer-oriented product strategy, focusing on acquisition of new customers and retaining key customer segments.Be the champion for the customer. Develop strategic portfolio directions and recommendations, including creating business cases, portfolio development plans and delivering recommendations to senior stakeholders (including Custodians).Portfolio management including accountability for the performance of the Consumer product portfolio including profitability and gross margin protection strategies.Maintain the rigorous analytical and reporting framework that supports the ongoing accountability for monitoring and improving performance of the Consumer product portfolio.Provide support to the Product Delivery team including understanding of proposition strategy and product change projects.Lead and facilitate product proposition assessment and innovation sessions including new product development concepts and service integration.Regularly complete competitive landscape assessments and provide strategic proposition change recommendations and tactical responses to the business.Provide product expertise to product team and other business units.You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.
What do I need? Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or related disciplines are preferred.5-8 years embedded in product management functions, preferably financial services (health insurance industry experience highly regarded).Experience in consulting or strategy roles will be highly regarded.Passion for the customer is essential.A proactive desire to drive a differentiated proposition for the segment.At Bupa, we are striving to create and sustain a safe and inclusive workplace.
