Adult Mental HealthCommunity Mental HealthAged Persons Mental HealthChild and Youth Mental HealthAbout the role: The Senior Consumer Consultant will work collaboratively with leadership staff in GV Health mental health in developing service responsiveness to the needs of consumers.
This will be carried out by:
Working with senior leaders to identify service gaps and areas for improvement and to implement appropriate responses, at both policy and service delivery levels and guide the lived experience workforce in gathering information that facilitates service improvement.The successful candidate will have: Lived experience of a diagnosis of mental illness and experience as a consumer of a clinical mental health service and experience working in a dedicated lived experience role (e.g., Consumer Consultant, consumer peer worker).Practices under a recovery-oriented mental health framework.Experience in policy development that promotes a coordinated service response to meeting consumer needs.Experience providing supervision and/or support to other members of the lived experience workforce.If qualifications are a requirement for this position, please attach a copy in support of your application.
