About the Opportunity The APAC Professional Services team is seeking an energetic, dynamic, and collaborative Technical Architect with expertise to help and guide customers to form a seamless digital campus. You will beinstrumental in consulting and advising our customers, providing technical value add services andadvisory guidance to implement Ellucian ERP solutions.
The role will report to the Senior Director, Professional Services APAC, forming part of a global
team of technologists and architects that support the product, technical, and extensibility
needs that arise within the region.
Higher Education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success. The Technical Architect is a critical role, and you will partner with our customers to enable educational technology including transformation to cloud/SaaS solutions and ensure successful adoption of these solutions. You will also be well versed with higher education products and understand best practices to solve architectural problems, being able to articulate these in a concise and relatable way.

Identity the following for each task within the project plans: resources, dependencies, durations, and priority/criticalityMonitor and document the technical aspects of ongoing projects and identify, document, and mitigate significant technical project risks proactivelyCoordinate technical activities and ensure all responsible parties are properly informed. This would include working with the Ellucian Cloud Services team, DBAs, and other technical teams.Assist client Infrastructure Team to provide appropriate (and secure) server/application access instructions for all consultants. Maintain this over time as new servers/products are implemented.Assist client Infrastructure Team on hardware and software management, along with instance managementProvide recommended backup and recovery plans for Ellucian applications and Oracle databasesProvide architecture details of Ellucian applications, including the integration of each applicationAssess options, risks and cost-benefit analyses as they pertain to data architecture, security, and other technology issuesFacilitate the work of and provide support to the Integration Engineers, Data Migration Leads and Data Migration consultantsPrepare operational strategies for client go-lives - Technical Production Transition PlanningProvide ongoing evaluation of technology solutions and capabilities to ensure appropriate alignment of business objectives.Design/develop complex ERP system architecture design via well-known tools such as Microsoft VisioConsult on recommended practices for system and application managementReview and validate technical installation, configuration and other technical reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistent professional presentation.Develop a technical roadmap that maps to the client's future statePromote technical standards, guidelines, recommended practices and quality control measures for enabling and implementing software systems.Provide knowledge transfer and training on basic Banner and database conceptsDocument current, intermediate, and future state technical architectures that support the client's vision and missionOutline technical recommendations and identify technological requirements that support client educational and business goalsWhat you will bring Demonstrated project management skillsDemonstrated skills as a technical leadAgile project managementStrong diverse technical backgroundAbility to effectively communicate at various levels within the institution, from executive leadership to end usersDemonstrated aptitude for logical applicationof problem solving techniques.
