About our Resource Recovery team Our work in resource recovery leverages RMCG's skill set to deliver strategies and recycling programs that contribute to circular economies.
We are industry experts in water recycling and resource recovery.
Our work includes waste and water balance assessments, diversion opportunities and processing, through to reuse opportunities, market analysis and regulatory approvals.
We consider organic and recoverable materials as resources and develop processes and reuse schemes that integrate circular management principles and design out waste.
We consider this in the broader context of land management, the environment, and local business opportunities.
Our resource recovery approach is built on our ties to regional communities and agriculture.
We combine soil health, agronomy and irrigation expertise, with experience in processing, collection and reuse systems, economic analysis and regulatory knowledge.
The position We are looking for a senior consultant with tertiary training and at least seven years' experience to help drive our resource recovery work.
You will work with other leaders at RMCG to ensure we continue to positively influence the Australian resource recovery sector and deliver sustainable outcomes for community, the environment, government and industry.
The work that you will undertake could include:
Applied technical analysis relevant to your area/s of expertisePlanning, evaluating and implementing policy and programs in your area/s of expertiseWriting clear, plain English reports that capture findings, insights and recommendationsClient liaison and presenting findings to clientsStakeholder consultation and data gatheringProject managementBusiness development, including networking, marketing and proposal-writingMentoring and guiding other members of the Resource Recovery team.Qualification requirements A degree in science, engineering, environmental management, agriculture or a related field.
Key selection criteria We are seeking a candidate with 7-plus years of professional experience who can demonstrate:
Extensive experience and strong networks in the resource recovery sector.Leading technical knowledge in your area/s of expertiseThe ability to explore and understand issues, think strategically about their likely impacts and develop effective strategy and policyExceptional written communication skills and a proven ability to clearly communicate findings, insights and recommendationsThe desire to operate in a consulting environment where you can work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver quality products that have an impact.Previous experience in consulting would be considered favourably.
