The Position We are seeking individuals with a background in Project Controls Engineering.
You will be willing to apply your knowledge and experience in other areas of our consulting business beyond your technical background.
You will be required to deliver your work to a high standard, look for and identify opportunities to develop the reputation of the Vescient brand and contribute to the growth of Vescient, and continuously invest in your own professional and personal development.
Candidates will need to have the ability to gain and hold a Defence security clearance which will require you to be an Australian citizen.
You will be required to work both at client sites and at our office to provide consulting services which include: Technical consulting and leadership Create policies, standards, processes, workflows, tools and systems supporting project delivery, governance and assurance.
Support the definition and documentation for PMO frameworks, project assurance frameworks including earned value management, planning and cost controls.
Present information, develop and deliver training and knowledge transfer to our clients.
Conduct thorough research and stay updated on industry best practices to effectively document and develop high-quality client deliverables.
Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, technical teams and project members to align expectations on the approach, timeframes and deliverables.
Lead or facilitate problem solving discussions to resolve conflicting expectations and requirements.
Business and systems analysis Conduct and support gap analysis and capability requirement analysis.
Define and contextualise the business context with respect to project controls and governance capability development.
Capture and document requirements, and workflows.
Analyse workflows and optimise ways of working for clients which are achievable and sustainable.
Manage trade-offs, balancing functional, service quality and systems management requirements.
Identify system and software options from simple to enterprise.
Define data management and information management requirements and processes.
Define reporting metrics and requirements.
Develop and support development of reporting products and decision support tools.
Develop and maintain consistent standards across technical documentation.
Critically analyse and translate business requirements across people, process and systems.
Information Security Governance Risk and Compliance Ensure assurance and governance processes accord with ISO 27001 and other security framework requirements.
Business development and client management Support the winning of repeat business and new clients through high levels of professionalism, good interpersonal skills, positive attitude and high work quality.
The Ideal Candidate Candidates must be an Australian citizen with the ability to gain and retain a Defence security clearance.
Essential Skills or Experience Proven experience in Project planning, scheduling and costing within any sector but across both built infrastructure (engineering/construction) and technology.
Strong experience and knowledge across SAP, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
Strong experience across cost control systems such as Contruent, CMS, etc.
Strong experience in earned value management.
Excellent listening and consulting skills.
Ability to be comfortable in chaos, hectic project environments and client settings.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a cross-functional PMO environment.
Knowledge of project management and strong documentation ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of team culture.
Sound risk management skills and knowledge.
Ability to develop and deliver basic training and public speaking skills.
