Transaction Strategy and Execution – Financial Services is a team within EY's Strategy and Transactions division that is dedicated to advising clients in the Financial Services sector (such as Banking, Wealth and Asset Management and Insurance).
We advise clients on their transaction strategy and support them on due diligence and transition execution.
The objective is to help our clients achieve their best capital performance, deliver value to their stakeholders and meet their strategic goals.
At EY, we provide a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle to corporate buyers and sellers as well as private equity firms.
Some of our services include synergy assessment, operating costs due diligence, integration or separation planning and target operating model design.
The variety in sectors, scenarios and deals provides opportunities to build your experience in this area and apply your expertise to achieve the commercial outcomes.
We are looking for a Senior Consultant or Manager to join our Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) team within our Financial Services Practice in our Sydney Office.
Your key responsibilities You will become part of an established team that values innovative thinking and provide you with the tools to design a career path as unique as you are.
With us, you'll be empowered to: Manage the delivery of operational due diligence, post-merger integrations and separation / carve-out engagements, reporting to a Senior Manager, Director, or Partner.
Analyse and evaluate operating models and financial information.
Apply your project management skills in an M&A process and develop a project plan for pre-deal, integration or separation.
Apply your problem-solving skills to identify and support to mitigate key risks and issues our client is facing as part of an integration or separation program.
Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the client organisation and facilitate senior stakeholder conversations.
Develop effective client relationships at the appropriate client level and being responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products.
Develop client deliverables in a fast-paced environment and conduct presentations to clients.

We are on the lookout for individuals with: Experience in professional services, management consulting, M&A or related corporate experience.
Advanced problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking.
Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering high-quality reports and presentations.
Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Transaction or organisational transformation experience is a plus.
