About the team BDO Australia's Project & Infrastructure Advisory team are industry leaders in the planning and delivery of city and region shaping infrastructure projects and have recently launched a new national Real Estate Advisory offering.
Our Real Estate Advisory team works with government and private sector clients across a range of sectors including residential development, social and affordable housing, Built to Rent (BTR), transport, health, , as well as across traditional asset classes.
With unprecedented expenditure across a range of these sectors coupled with our market leading experience and deep industry networks, our team is growing and is looking for new and exciting individuals to join.
About the Role We are currently looking for Real Estate professionals to join our growing Real Estate Advisory team to deliver and advise on important projects within the Real Estate and Infrastructure space.
You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of Real Estate and Infrastructure projects in Queensland.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in property advisory engagements and transactions across a wide range of asset classes, including acquisitions and disposals.
Specific skills may include: Real estate market analysis, sales analysis and research Financial and commercial real estate advice Property acquisition and disposal experience Understanding and experience in dealing with property leases The ability to navigate current planning schemes, understanding of property fundamentals and industry participants.
Digital proficiency in commercial real estate platforms, such as Argus Estate Master Certified Practising Valuer Accreditation (not essential) General requirements include: Managing the on-time and on-budget delivery of engagements including the preparation and management of report writing, financial analysis including valuation analysis and / or financial modelling Opportunities to undertake or learn business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients Development and implementation of engagement pursuit strategies, preparation of proposals and managing tender processes Managing and coordinating third party sub-contractors Sharing your awareness of the broader real estate market environment and industry trends across other divisions of the firm and our clients Opportunities to grow industry network and personal brand Maintaining strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, project partners and broader industry About You You'll ideally have tertiary qualifications in either property economics or another real estate focussed degree with between 3 and 7 years practical experience post completion of your study.
You may also hold a Certified Practising Valuer accreditation, or Real Estate Licence.
Additionally, experience in real estate advisory and/or project management would be viewed positively.
You'll bring with you: Strong collaboration skills having worked across multi-disciplinary teams involved in the delivery of real estate projects An understanding of real estate related technical competencies and ability to interpret technical reports Ability to work within a growing team environment Attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop Previous experience and/or exposure to general real estate advisory across government and/or the private sector Capability in delivering property valuations, real estate advisory and/or market research reports Well-developed report writing and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Why BDO?
