Senior Consultant - Economics / Advisory Hadron Group is looking to hire a full-time senior consultant in their Sydney office. Ideally, this person will have had prior experience as an advisory / management consultant or similar experience involving economic modelling, appraisals, or financial analysis for public-sector clients and be motivated to continue to learn and develop their skills in this field. Hadron works with a diverse range of clients who provide economics, data, and advisory services to clients that include state, federal and local government organisations and the private sector companies that deliver many of their services. Our work is diverse and recent engagements have helped clients make key decisions relating to social infrastructure, education, transport, as well as place-based investments. Responsibilities Determine and understand client goals and objectives. Developing project appraisals for transport, water, and social infrastructure projects as well as projects in other sectors. Undertaking research on and applying emerging appraisal methodologies Developing economic and financial analysis to support the evaluation of initiatives and/or projects. Developing evidence-based strategies and solutions to achieve client objectives. Provide clients with clear, actionable insights to inform strategic decision making. Developing project management plans outlining key tasks, deliverables, timeframes, stakeholders, and risks to support the effective delivery of projects. Contributing to the production of well organised reports, proposals, presentations, and graphics to summarise and explain findings and strategic implications. Providing feedback and guidance to clients throughout the project. Lead meetings with client team representatives and or key stakeholders. What you bring to Hadron Group A bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, social science or related discipline A minimum of 2 years highly relevant work experience An ability to take on diverse work. You must have an intrinsic desire to develop your skills, keep an open mindset, and collaborate with your colleagues and clients alike. An analytical mindset and the ability to translate and assess the strategic and operational impacts of a project through an economic lens. Demonstrable writing and presentation skills (of narrative and data) Some prior experience/exposure working with or for public sector agencies responsible for infrastructure project development. Be proactive and motivated to deliver the best service possible to our clients, strong verbal communication skills are essential.
