Purpose of the role The Senior Consultant, Implementation (ECEC) will play an important facilitation role for AERO and participating ECEC services in the learning partner projects, responsible for fostering trusting relationships and providing support to improve teaching practice.
Accountabilities: Visits to ECEC services across the country and facilitate online meetings to provide both in-person and virtual support and guidance to leaders, teachers and educators. Contextualise support and advice based on the needs of each service. Contribute to implementation strategies and the development of professional learning on evidence-based practice. Continually monitor and document implementation strategies and progress, providing updates and recommendations to the Manager, Implementation (ECEC). Assist Evaluation staff to ensure evaluation processes are carried out as required. Work with the Manager, Implementation (ECEC) to carry out activities needed for the success of learning partner projects. Meet standards of responsible and ethical practice in working with ECEC services. Knowledge, Skills and Experience A degree qualification in Early Childhood and experience in leadership roles. Valid drivers licence. Experience in leading staff or project teams through change initiatives. Knowledge and experience in enacting the Early Years Learning Framework. Experience in coaching or mentoring leaders, teachers and educators. Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for establishing positive working relationships. Excellent written skills for internal and external communications. Capacity to take initiative and develop strategies to prevent or overcome issues.
