We are looking for exceptional people to work with us to help our clients tackle the big challenges facing cities and regions across Australia and abroad. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant who can bring rich and diverse thinking to our Melbourne office to support our national team.You will:Support delivery of exciting and complex strategy and advisory projects for governments, leading corporates and important civic-sector entities on strategic issues ranging from precinct and city strategy, innovation ecosystems, economic development and business and investment strategies. As a strategic advisory consultant, you will help clients to establish critical visions, design policy, prepare businesses cases. The engagements will be diverse – one day formulating a human capital and innovation roadmap for a national government, another developing a precinct optimisation and governance framework, another devising a purpose-led strategy for a major property portfolio.You will also:Engage directly with key clients on their most important and pressing challenges.Apply your knowledge and expertise to inform analysis, design, and delivery of client solutions.Support day-to-day execution of client engagements and deliverables, including workshop facilitation, team and client management.Draw on and integrate Urbis' broader technical capabilities from our other national and international offices.Contribute valuable insights to improve project outcomes.Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.Prepare thought leadership that is insightful, innovative, and engaging.Positively challenge existing practices and/or viewpoints to improve systems, processes and advice to advance the quality and efficiency of our work.Contribute to developing and fostering client relationships.Effectively delegate to others by providing clear instructions, context and guidance.Identify opportunities to work across teams/business units to solve client issues.Support market and business development activities.Demonstrate commercial discipline and consistency through compliance with company policy and process and performance expectations.About you:We are open to candidates coming from diverse backgrounds with a preference for consulting, policy, economics, urban geography and strategy.
