Senior Consultant - Communications Strategy

Details of the offer

Senior Consultant - Communications Strategy H/Advisors APA is a busy and growing communications consultancy with a great culture, a first-rate reputation, and a range of interesting clients operating in complex regulatory and stakeholder environments.
We are part of the H/Advisors global network, which is a team of thousands of best-in-class public and corporate affairs professionals.
We have experienced strong but sustained growth in past months, and as such are ready to hire our next Director or Senior Consultant. This is a senior-level appointment which would suit someone who is a former communications lead or corporate affairs manager and who enjoys the challenge of developing and rolling out integrated campaigns which span stakeholders, government, and media.
Other factors which we would view favourably for this role are:
Experience as a Ministerial Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff or Policy Advisor. A background in media or communications. Time as a senior corporate affairs practitioner within government or a large corporate. Time as a consultant in the Australian environment. This is a high-level, hands-on communications role. Day-to-day the successful candidate will:
Work variously as an individual, as part of a team, and as a project leader. Meet with clients to unpack their objectives, opportunities, issues, or incidents. Research and consider external factors including the stakeholder landscape; the role of legislative, parliamentary, political, budget and planning processes; and media and social media attention. Work with other expert consultants at H/Advisors APA to design and execute a public affairs approach to achieve the outcome the client requires. As a professional, your personal traits will include:
High levels of emotional IQ and strong relationship/inter-personal communication skills. Project management skills and ability to be organised across multiple tasks and clients. An energetic self-starter who can creatively navigate complex and difficult regulatory and stakeholder environments. Time/task management skills and the ability to work under pressure on competing deadlines. Experience working with, and advising, senior executives and board members. A natural curiosity and passion for current affairs. The culture at H/Advisors APA is akin to a cross between a newsroom, a political office, and a management consultancy - incorporating the best elements of each with a variety of personalities, interests, political affiliations, skills, and knowledge. We are very keen to find like-minded individuals to join our team.
If you have the requisite experience for this role and would succeed in this environment, please send a cover letter and CV of no more than four pages directly to .
We are looking to fill this role ASAP to ensure our firm is resourced for the growing demands from clients.
