The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Heritage (Archaeology) Consultant or Associate Director to join our Heritage Team in Perth. In this role, you'll contribute significantly to our Heritage offering across a range of projects including historic and Aboriginal heritage.
Your focus will be on delivering exceptional client work and providing both technical and strategic advice. As a senior cultural heritage professional, you'll also have the opportunity to nurture client relationships, identify new work opportunities, and support staff growth and development.
In this role, you will: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of historic and Aboriginal archaeology, cultural heritage management and Burra Charter Principles.Undertake both historic and Aboriginal archaeology, with particular expertise in either being desirable.Prepare high-quality archaeological assessments, Cultural Heritage Management Plans, Due Diligence Assessments, and Heritage Interpretation Plans.Undertake and lead field work, including Aboriginal heritage surveys.Manage small to medium size projects, including scoping and costing of projects, tracking job costs and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants.Coach and develop individuals within the team, as appropriate.Undertake historic and cultural research to establish a thorough understanding of heritage places and new communities.Prepare a high standard of written advice and have highly developed skills in technical report writing.About You: You hold tertiary qualifications in Archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management and/or Anthropology.You have proven experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment within the heritage industry.Ideally, you possess advanced skills in preparing Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Survey Reports, Archaeological Management Plans and Strategies, Aboriginal Heritage Due Diligence Assessments, and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.You've worked closely with Aboriginal communities. Experience in Southwest and Wheatbelt areas of Western Australia is a plus.High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel).Why Urbis?
