Reporting to the Head Technical Designer, Intimates, this role will work with design & technical teams (Australia & ASIA) to ensure a consistent approach is developed and maintained with relation to agreed fit process. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise through specifications and developing the fit of garments across all HAA Brands.
What will I be doing? Proactively organize & manage workflow that adheres to project milestones & development timelinesManage multiple projects from initial design brief stage through prototyping, development, and sign off for productionInterpreting design brief to create original patterns and proto samples to achieve design requirementsUtilise advanced technical garment construction skills and experience to provide feedback during prototype development and fit sessionsCome prepared to fittings with proactive solutions to achieve product expectationsConduct wear testing for consumer validationCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders such as Design, Raw Materials, Product Development, and overseas supply partners for current and future development projectsCreate and manage technical specifications to ensure documentation is accurateWhat experience do I have? Experience in a Patternmaker role within the intimates industryStrong understanding of bra construction, including fabric moulding, foam cup development & creation of measurements or swimwearUnderstanding of computer grading using Gerber or similar software would be desirableStrong PC skills: MS Office suite, a working knowledge of Illustrator, and PLM systemProven communication and influencing skills - you'll be communicating regularly with our technical team in Asia over the phone or via video conferenceFlexible and positive attitude, comfortable with change and able to work in a fast-moving environmentWhat can we offer you?
