JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is recruiting for a Senior SMP Construction Engineer to join the Construction and Commissioning Engineering team as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry to provide Brownfield Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on a long-term, Engineering Service Contract. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs.RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Construction & Commissioning Engineer Lead, you will draw upon your technical knowledge and technical writing skills, along with your problem-solving skills to develop and present engineering and implementation solutions for the projects.Your responsibilities will be:Delivery of FEED to Execution deliverables associated with Construction and Commissioning activities.Creating access workpacks.Input into construction feasibility studies for the project.Chairing constructability reviews.Providing inputs into schedule and estimates.Coordinating with personnel offshore.Input into design and engineering to ensure Construction and Commissioning activities are optimized and the works scopes can be completed safely and efficiently.QUALIFICATIONSYou will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia.Ideally you will be a suitably qualified engineer from a recognized institution or possess a tertiary qualification along with 10+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia working within multidiscipline fields.In addition, you will have:A demonstrated commitment to safety.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills - both written and verbal.Previous experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined team.Demonstrated supervisory and administration skills necessary to organize and manage large project scopes.Strong technical expertise in piping, vessels and rotating equipment installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning.Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs.Ability to maintain composure under pressure, while delivering within a challenging and complex environment.A "solutions mindset" embracing innovation and an agile approach to project delivery and team leadership.It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.
