Vacancy TypesOngoing (Permanent) - Full TimeFixed (Temporary) - Full TimePrimary ObjectivesThis role seeks to ensure the successful connection and integration of major connection projects in the Northern Territory regulated power systems in accordance with codes, regulations, policy and procedure, on behalf of the Power System Controller.The General Manager Operating Model leads the design and execution of the Operating Model program, delivering best-practice transformation outcomes for Power and Water. This role provides proactive, high-level strategic advice and updates to the Board, Chief Executive, and executive leadership team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and driving sustainable, efficient operations. An Executive contract of up to 4 years may be offered.Install and maintain Power and Water Corporation's telecommunications systems and ancillary electronic equipment throughout the Northern Territory in an efficient and effective manner.Responsible for undertaking installation, inspection, maintenance and repair activities on network systems throughout the Northern Territory, as required.Coordinate the property and asset portfolio of Power and Water and its subsidiary Indigenous Essential Services Pty Ltd by providing specialised advice on land and property matters for current and future projects and assets.Undertake identification, development and options recommendation for investment in the power system across the Northern Territory including regulated, Indigenous Essential Services and minor centres.Manage a centre of excellence for customer related connections and coordinate with electrical installers, retailers, consultants and Power and Water work groups to ensure customers' new electrical connections and upgraded connections are completed within nominated timeframes and in line with electricity supply industry codes.As part of Power and Water's commercial activities, be part of the Supply Relationship Management team to enhance the level of professional contract management by managing 'general 'or 'enabling' contracts for the Corporation and assisting the Integrated Works Management and Project Delivery Management Contract Managers to implement the Contract Management Framework to achieve greater contract outcomes and value for money.Special Instructions: Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.
