About the Opportunity: OKX is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager, Compliance Monitoring to join the Australia Compliance team based in Sydney. In this newly created role, you will be focused on developing and maintaining a comprehensive monitoring plan for the early detection and mitigation of regulatory, operational and reputational risks.
What you will be doing: Develop and execute a risk-based compliance monitoring plan to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify control gaps and weaknesses, determine root cause, and escalate and propose viable solutions to address the risks and weaknesses identified, working to mitigate risk.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Conduct regular compliance reviews and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and gaps
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on compliance monitoring observations.
Create effective action plans and ensure the implementation of recommendations.
Provide compliance management information with appropriate analysis to evidence the monitoring approach to senior management including the preparation of Board and committee reports to ensure management are up-to-date and are aware of key issues.
What we are looking for in you: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
At least 5 years in a compliance advisory role (e.g. AFSL, AML/CTF) within financial services.
Recent experience in compliance monitoring and testing.
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance policies, practices and controls.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify compliance risks and gaps, and recommend appropriate compliance controls.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
A good understanding of KYC requirements, risk assessments, and/or data analysis will be an added advantage.
Interest in crypto and/or blockchain technology.
