The Clean Energy Link program will increase network transfer capacity between the Perth metropolitan area and throughout regions. We are expanding our team and looking for experienced and passionate engagement professionals to help us future-proof our electricity network. Your customer-centric approach and commitment to social performance will support the delivery of some of Western Power's key infrastructure projects.Your Role in ActionWorking closely with a multidisciplinary project team to develop and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans for large, complex projects in regional WA.Deliver proactive, hands-on engagement activities such as events, workshops, and community participation events to support awareness and community representation.Lead community reference group formation and facilitate ongoing collaboration.Collect community feedback to continually inform and improve the project.Utilise a variety of tools, methods, and platforms to create accessible and tailored engagement for different audiences.Provide input to the project on risk through the lens of community engagement and provide recommendations for management of contentious and complex issues.Manage relationships with key stakeholders, particularly Local Government and project partners, to ensure their communications activities are consistent and strategically aligned with Western Power.Engage rural stakeholders and communities. Rural travel will be required, and experience in regional engagement is desirable.Develop relationships with a range of internal specialised SMEs including marketing, communications, brand and government relations, and leverage internal capability as required to meet project outcomes.What Makes You a Great FitTertiary qualification in Communications, Social Planning and Sciences, Marketing, or related discipline.Extensive experience and knowledge in community engagement, stakeholder management, communications, or a related field.Demonstrated capability working with large and complex programs of work, ideally with infrastructure or construction experience.Demonstrated strategic and tactical level of subject matter expertise and experience in incorporating best practice communication/community and stakeholder engagement practices in delivering large and contentious infrastructure/innovative projects.Understanding of International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) spectrum.Advanced and strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at multiple stakeholder levels.Ability to prioritise work and critically assess own performance.Excellent listening skills with a strong ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy.By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
