But enough about us, let's talk about you We are looking for an experienced, full-time, and tertiary-qualified Senior Community Development Officer.

You will work as part of a passionate team in Community Development, focusing your skills on achieving outcomes for the City's communities by strengthening community-led initiatives and championing inclusive, equitable practices.
Qualifications A degree relevant to the role and/or substantial experience in building community capacity by facilitating effective outcomes within a diverse community, utilizing and delivering contemporary community development practices.Hold a current unrestricted "C-A" (Automatic) or "C-B" (Manual) class national driver's license.National Police Clearance dated (less than 3 months old).Experience A minimum of three years' previous experience in a related role.Demonstrated knowledge of place-based and asset-based community development principles and practices.Knowledge of and experience in community engagement.Experience working in a local government context (desirable).Demonstrated experience in managing complex internal and external group dynamics with positive outcomes.Demonstrated experience in managing and understanding the implementation of diverse and inclusive practices, principles, policy, and cultural competency.Experience and knowledge with relevant policy frameworks.Budget management experience.Skills Highly developed negotiation, advocacy, and liaison skills.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.Strong leadership skills.Highly developed research and report-writing skills.Excellent customer service skills.Demonstrated experience with a range of evaluation methodologies.Strong event and project management skills.This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team and work in pursuit of excellence, through open, inclusive, and genuine collaboration with the local community.

You must have the ability to work outside normal office hours if required.
This permanent full-time Level 6 position attracts a salary of $95,019 to $102,693 per annum.
