The Team The Communications, Education and Engagement Branch (CEEB) is responsible for educating and informing the community about electoral rights and responsibilities.
The Communication Section within CEEB is responsible for a broad range of external communication (including advertising and campaigns), internal communication and design.
Reporting to the Manager of Internal Communications, the Senior Internal Communications Officer is responsible for delivering creative communication strategies and content that enhances staff awareness and engagement at the AEC.
The Opportunity We are looking for an enthusiastic communications professional to play a key role in driving the delivery of AEC internal communications initiatives.
You will use your knowledge and expertise to partner with staff across the organisation in the development of internal communication plans and campaigns. You will identify and pursue positive storytelling opportunities and develop content across a range of formats, primarily digital.
As someone who is passionate about what you do, you will foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and provide ideas and strategic advice about best practice internal communications. You will be a great collaborator – willing to tackle all parts of the internal communications function and be able to juggle multiple exciting projects at any given time.
As a communications professional, the Senior Communication Officer may undertake complex and/or sensitive work under direction and utilises their communications expertise and judgement across a wide range of activities to support priority AEC activities.
To excel you'll have:
Ability to develop and deliver effective communication strategies, initiatives and plans within a dynamic environment.Demonstrated skills as a highly competent writer across a broad range of communications channels, including intranet content and staff news.Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder and internal business area needs and expectations.
