About the role As Senior Communications Officer , you will play a key role in driving the communications and events priorities that strengthen Lowitja Institute's impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research and advocacy.
This dynamic position includes: Communications strategy : design and execute innovative media, marketing and communication plans that reflect Lowitja Institute's values and vision.
Campaigns and publications : support the creation of promotional campaigns and publications that amplify Lowitja Institute's work.
Digital leadership : manage CRM and digital platforms to enhance engagement and knowledge sharing.
Produce multimedia assets to showcase Lowitja Institute's work.
Advocacy and events : support national advocacy campaigns and coordinate impactful events, showcasing research outcomes and partnerships.
Team collaboration : contribute to a supportive team environment by mentoring team members and fostering cultural safety.
What you bring Cultural expertise : a deep understanding of the social and cultural determinants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, ensuring culturally safe and impactful communications.
Proven experience : background in communications, media or marketing, with experience crafting strategies that deliver meaningful impact.
Leadership and collaboration : experience mentoring team members and collaborating across teams to achieve shared goals.
Creativity and innovation : ability to develop innovative approaches to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Technical skills : strong project management and digital communication skills, including experience with online platforms and multimedia content.
