Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications)Full timeRoleThe Communication Branch of this Federal Government Department is seeking a skilled APS6 Senior Communications Officer to support ongoing campaign initiatives. This is an exciting 12-month labour hire contract that offers you the chance to drive impactful, large-scale campaigns and refine public relations activities, with the opportunity to lead junior team members and shape communications strategies.Your Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Develop and implement communication strategies for significant campaigns, while also contributing to smaller PR activities.Create and manage content, including newsletters and reports, ensuring consistency and engagement across platforms.Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, ensuring aligned and cohesive messaging.Review and edit materials for clarity, accuracy, and maximum impact.Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering their development and providing ongoing training.Identify improvements and propose solutions, demonstrating initiative and foresight.Problem-solve and manage risks to overcome challenges in strategy execution.Assist in budget and contract management, including tracking payments, maintaining budget accuracy, and supporting Senate estimates and end-of-year financial reporting.Ideal CandidateMust have Federal Government experienceMust be an Australian CitizenIdeally a strong record of campaigns and strategic communications delivery in a Government settingA keen eye for detail and a commitment to message consistency.How to Apply:To submit your application, please click Apply Now!
