As the Senior Communications Officer, your focus will include managing social media, supporting stakeholder engagement, and producing targeted content for diverse audiences, with potential involvement in the redevelopment of websites and intranet.

Key Responsibilities: Curate daily news summaries to keep the team informed on relevant updates.
Develop and update digital content by collaborating with subject matter experts, producing fresh content for the website, intranet, social media, and media channels.
Edit and manage web content across internal and external platforms.
Draft and respond to media and public enquiries to ensure clear and consistent communication.
Support strategic communication outcomes with graphic design tasks.
Assist with social and media channel management to enhance communication reach.
Provide general support to the Communications Manager as needed.
Who We're Looking For: We're seeking someone with strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to adjust tone for various audiences and channels, and a collaborative approach with both internal and external stakeholders.
Graphic design skills are a bonus! Ideal Skills & Experience: Experience with media releases, social media content, and digital platforms like Drupal (gov CMS) and Share Point.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop) for graphic design support.
Knowledge of web and social media analytics and reporting.
Background in media/communications or progress towards relevant qualifications.
Australian Citizenship and an active baseline clearance (or ability to obtain).
Essential: Qualifications in communications/media or equivalent experience.
